Dreamy spring wedding in pastels

Britney Irwin Johnston had a vision when she began planning her spring wedding around a soft, beautiful pastel color scheme.

From the venue to the florals, she set out to create her dream wedding with the help of family, friends and a few carefully chosen wedding professionals.

On March 4, she married David Johnston in a gorgeous ceremony at Magnolia Hall. Lisa Tilley Photography captured all the special moments.

Beth Cranford Floral Designs was given creative freedom to design beautiful pieces to make Britney’s vision a reality.

First looks are so exciting and emotional.

Moments before David proposed, he had to make a fake phone call to buy their families time to get in place. He pretended his parents were running late, so he and Britney made their way to Courthouse Pier in Gulfport to kill time. When he surprised Britney by getting down on one knee, their parents were already there.

Sealed with a kiss!

When David proposed to Britney on Courthouse Pier in Gulfport, Mississippi, she said she was worried the ring would fall between the slats of the pier and disappear into the Gulf. Fortunately, that did not happen!

Britney originally wanted an October wedding. She moved the date to spring to accommodate planning. The only thing she changed was the fall color palette to a spring pastels but her vision remained the same.

Flower crowns, sparkly belts, pocket squares and bow ties. The littlest attendants were decked out in style!

Britney and David danced the night away surrounded by fairy lights and ended it with sparklers.

Congratulations, Britney and David! May your love shine on for many, many happy years! – IDY
