6 Reasons Why You Should Get Married On Halloween!

Halloween wedding dates often get overlooked (or avoided) even if they land on a Saturday. This happens for multiple reasons like previously made plans, guests with kids may not attend, and also the spooky connotations that the holiday brings. However, I think a Halloween wedding would be one of the most fun dates to choose. I should note that I may be a little partial to the holiday as it’s a lifelong favorite of mine. Nevertheless, today we’re talking about why you should get married on Halloween below with 6 simple reasons.

Fall Decor

October is quintessential fall in my mind. Although Halloween marks the end of the month, fall decor is still alive and well far beyond the holiday. And down here in the South, it’s usually just then starting to feel a little chilly, so it’s the perfect time to decorate your wedding with the fall decor we all love so much. Plus, just using fall decor can make a Halloween wedding date not feel as stereotypically spooky.

Moody Vibes

Or you could go in the opposite direction and play up the darker hues that represent All Hallows Eve! The color black can be haunting but also very chic! Accompany it with dark reds and purples or even a crisp white. Either way, totally inspirational!

Loads of Detail Possibilities

One thing about a fun-themed wedding is that the detail possibilities are endless! Getting married on Halloween can even be more so given the usual activities of the holiday. From the food and decor to even your attire, there is so much room to play! Think ‘Til Death Do Us Part’ neon signs or deathly delicious specialty cocktails. It’s time to get your Pinterest boards warmed up!

Great Favors

Along with great detail possibilities, the guest favors can be oh so scream-worthy!  Think “potions” to-go or frightful treats. Or just even trick-or-treat candy at the end. Halloween favors rule in my book.

Offbeat Ideas

Looking for something a little different for your wedding day? Well, getting married on Halloween is the perfect day for you! It’s already all about the eccentric and offbeat, so feel free to play it to the full extent! I’m also pretty sure your wedding pros are biting at the chance to show off their creative abilities.

Full of Fun

Again, I may be biased, but a Halloween wedding screams fun! Literally. It can be playful, spooky, romantic, or moody. Perhaps all of it at once. But it’s also so unique and a holiday that will have your guests feeling a little livelier than usual.

PS – You Can’t Forget the Date

Here’s an extra reason! A Halloween wedding date is one you can’t accidentally forget about. And if you do, you’ll have some trick-or-treaters to remind you shortly!
