When our design team had the chance to partner with Spectrum Resorts to develop a styled shoot, we jumped at the chance. We had been dreaming of collaborating with some of our Alabama coast vendors to create a beachfront wedding that was anything but beachy. Just walking through the elegant and modern lobby of Turquoise Place in Orange Beach, Alabama, we knew we were on the right track with our high-end, romantic design. Using a palette of mauve, navy and neutrals, the team created a glamorous and romantic event.
Turquoise Place boasts luxury beachfront condos and amenities and a gorgeous, ocean-facing lawn lined with palm trees that creates a natural aisle for the most perfect ceremony spot. Couples can hold their ceremony overlooking the water without having to fight through sand and the overwhelming sound of crashing waves they would have with an actual beach wedding. I Do Gulf Coast Weddings created this amazing keyhole “altar” space combining beautiful florals and subtle coastal elements of starfish and oyster shells.
Our reception was styled at The Beach Club in Gulf Shores, Alabama, which offers ceremony and reception space as well as catering, bar, and rental items. Blue table linens reflected the coastal sky on the outdoor clubhouse terrace. Tables were styled with complementary lanterns, soft florals, and coastal elements. After enjoying a fabulous buffet created by The Beach Club, our wedding party moved to the beach for some late evening dancing around the fire pit.
Beachfront weddings are some of our favorites, and we love a destination event, but they do not have to be standard, toes-in-the-sand, white arbor on the beach, simple affairs. Finding a resort with venue options and a wedding/event specialist who can help connect you with local vendors who can create the wedding of your dreams is crucial. Whether a couple is local to a coastal region or planning a destination wedding, they can still have a beach front wedding without giving up the dream of a fabulous, luxurious wedding of any style.
This incredible bridal bouquet had five dozen of the most beautiful roses in shades of mauve, pink, and cream.
We adored this sweet lantern doubling as a bridesmaid bouquet.
The Beach Club clubhouse terrace overlooking the sparkling pool and beautiful, sugar-white sand beach served as our reception area.
The Beach Club offers late-night bonfire services for parties and events. It was the perfect ending to this spectacular day.
