Floral Fantasy Real Wedding

We are slightly obsessed with the October 2017 garden inspired wedding of Rebecca Busby and Miles Donald at The Cedars in Jackson, Mississippi. The wedding which was designed by Erik Kegler of the Jackson based Eventful was a floral fantasy masterpiece. Inspired by the delicate blush appliqué roses on Rebecca’s Maggie Sottero gown,  the event prominently featured the bride’s favorite roses in a palette of the softest, creamy blush, vivid yellow, and deep claret. Mimicking a southern flower garden, Kegler expertly added pops of blue amidst shades of green to create a lush, romantic event.

The floral invitation suite coordinated with reception paper products adorably printed with the couple’s specially designed wedding crest. An oversized art piece was on display as a guest book keepsake. The event centerpiece was the stunning cake table which was covered with the most beautiful multi-colored floral linen. Reception tables were dressed with a variety of linens in coordinating tones. Deep emerald table coverings with rich, geode printed runners graced long tables while rounds were covered in rose linens and sheer toppers with appliqués of rose and claret flowers. Even catering offerings reflected the decor with colorful cartucherie plates and piles of jewel toned fruit and cheeses.

The crown jewel of this incredible fête had to be the dance floor which was edged in colorful vinyl flowers to match the invitation design. This lovely couple danced the night away before being whisked away to their honeymoon in a vintage Rolls Royce in shades of turquoise.

The invitation suite by Fresh Ink is stunning. We love the use of the couple’s first initials

on the save the date cards, and the traditional surname initial on the reception napkins.

The rose applique detail on this Maggie Sottero gown is breathtaking.

As far as first looks go, we love a dad’s first look almost as much as a groom’s.

This sweet bouquet is so simple, but so lovely with the variety of shades of pink roses.

This guest “book” art print is such an amazing idea. What a fantastic keepsake for the couple.

We are simply over the moon about this table linen. The floral print sets the tone

for the entire event, and makes the cake table a centerpiece of the reception.

Wow! The coordinating floral decal adds such a punch of personality to a simple wood dance floor.
