Subtle fall colors add warmth to an October wedding

We’re still obsessed with this gorgeous October wedding! Fall weddings in the south can still be quite warm, and not all October events have to be laden with pumpkins and deep tones to be seasonal appropriate. This Mississippi couple’s use of more subtle autumnal tones is a great example of how to add those fall details without sacrificing elegance.

  1. Chose fall colors in subtle tones. Florals of burnt orange and cream pair beautifully with stone blue and navy without being overpowering. Added details like these lovely sandals add a pop of peek-a-boo color under your gown.

2. Organic elements are perfect for fall. These sweet woven, wood baskets and the wood heart guest book are great examples of those little details.

3. Add dried florals. Dried flowers and fox tails aren’t just for boho loving brides. Fall is the perfect time to add these end of season florals, especially for an outdoor affair.

4. Go a little rustic. This matching set of wedding and groom cakes in contrasting colors is just adorable. The homestyle buttercream looks so sweet with the elegant florals, and we love how this couple accented each cake with unique cake stands. The vintage silver stand clearly designates the “wedding cake” while the natural wood stand highlights the chocolate groom’s cake.
