For many couples engaged to be married, your lovable canine is an essential, but nontraditional wedding attendant, that would make your wedding day even more special! Your precious pet is considered a family member and probably the most spoiled one. Consider these helpful tips on the blog today if you would like to include your pet in your wedding ceremony.
IS YOUR DOG SOCIAL?
Is your dog friendly? Is he/she comfortable around strangers and large crowds? You will not want to have to worry about your pet’s well being along with everything else that day. Take plenty of photos to with your wedding party and your four-legged friend!
ALERT YOUR GUESTS
Let your guests know you are incorporating your pet(s) in your wedding , so they can prepare of they have any allergies or fears they have with canines.
WHAT TO DO WITH YOUR PET
Not sure where to place your dog in the wedding? The traditional idea is have the dog as the ring bearer or female dog a flower dog. Use fake rings in case your dog eats them or runs away. If you are nervous about the dog acting up you can have a groomsman leash the dog and walk him down the aisle.
DOG FRIENDLY VENUE
You will need to verify with your wedding ceremony vendor to make sure your pet is welcome. Make sure your dog fits in with the setting. Outside weddings on a farm would be perfect for dogs to participate in the ceremony. Even the cutest dogs won’t be welcome in a sanctuary setting.
CANINE/FELINE COUTURE
Male dogs and cats always look adorable in a tuxedo outfit or just a bow tie. As for the female pups and kittens a ballerina tutu or flower halo around the collar, strand of pearls with a white garment are appropriate.
PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT
Be sure to practice the walk down the aisle many times with your dog and reward him with treats so he will be ready for the big day!
