Trending Tuesday: Beyond the Basic Bridal Footwear

The tale of Cinderella and her glass slippers is intriguing and unforgettable. Even though your wedding day may seem like a fairy tale, you might want to consider looking into a pair of shoes that are more comfortable than Cinderella’s whimsical slippers.

Choosing your wedding shoes wisely will be a decision you thank yourself for later. Yes, those three-inch heel are fashionable and would look great with your dress, but will your feet stand up to the pressure? Probably not. More than likely, if you have uncomfortable shoes you’ll end up going barefoot and setting those super cute shoes aside for most of the night. Consider additional shoes with a slightly lower heel. This way you can still wear heels for your ceremony and then change into a cute pair of flats before getting aching blisters on your feet.

Some brides prefer walking the path less traveled when it comes to bridal footwear. Wearing Converse or your favorite sneakers has now become a popular trend and a way to show off your personality. These shoes will add a pop of color that you may be searching for in your ensemble.

Another option, especially if you’re getting married on the beach, is no shoes at all! Bury your toes into the sand and enjoy the moment. Since you don’t have to spend money on expensive wedding shoes, pamper yourself all the more with a wedding worthy pedicure!

If you are looking to have a wedding with a rustic flare, put on your favorite pair of cowboy boots to celebrate your wedding in style. With any new shoe you purchase, don’t wait until the day of your wedding to wear your shoes, go ahead and break them in. This will assure that you have comfortable footwear for your wedding.
