Eclectic Nashville elopement is a complete vibe

We are slightly obsessed with this eclectic Nashville elopement styled shoot, and we aren’t ashamed to admit it. Elopements in general are having a moment. Made necessary by the pandemic, these mini-weddings are being wholeheartedly embraced by Gen Z couples, and with the recent Vegas wedding of JoLo and Ben, we expect to see even more of this trend.

Set against the backdrop of some of Nashville’s most iconic locales, this adorable shoot captures the fun and excitement of “running away” to get married. While elopements can mean anything from just the two of you to bringing your closest family and friends along to celebrate, couples have become more conscious of creating those special moments during their escapist wedding. Those little details, from the clothing choices, florals, a small cake, etc. make an elopement feel like a big event without all the work and expense of a home-town extravaganza.

Having a photographer to capture those special moments of your elopement is an absolute must. If you can’t find a photographer you love at the destination of your event, there are so many amazing photographers who specialize in elopements and destination weddings. Is your favorite photographer located in your hometown? Bring them along to get every special moment. You’ll want to have incredible photos to share with your friends and family, and you’ll treasure them for years.

This Nashville Sweets cake is a moment. It captures the very essence of the city and this eclectic couple. The musical note print butterflies are edible! This sweet treat is just the right size for two with enough left over to save for that first anniversary. Is it even a wedding if there isn’t cake?

Bold florals created by The Florista accented the second gown worn by the bride. The latin flavor in this design was a nod to the cultural background of the groom. A beautiful bouquet and simple boutonniere are simple touches that take your elopement to another level. Flowers make everything special.

There’s just something about a costume change! We know all brides deserve the gown of their dreams, but some may feel a full-length gown isn’t right for their elopement location. That’s perfectly OK. If you want to wear a ballgown to the courthouse, we are here for it! Of course, you can always choose a darling short dress for your ceremony. We encourage those brides to bring along a more elaborate gown for photos. That way, you get the best of both styles!

While the pink sparkly dress in this shoot was just the thing to wear dashing about Nashville, this gorgeous Chotronette gown is both elegant and fun and perfect for more formal photos. The sheer billowing sleeves of the “jacket” is accented with the same embroidered florals as the gown’s bodice. Layers of tulle give the skirt movement. Paired with those sassy white ankle boots, the look is eclectic and glamorous.

Make the most of your destination. You’ll choose your elopement location for a reason. Make sure to seek out those special spots for your photos. This shoot took advantage of Nashville’s eclectic streets and iconic locations like the ticket wall at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium and world-famous Bluebird Cafe. Having a destination elopement is all about the place. Make it a significant part of your photos.
