Dramatic country club wedding style

Nothing creates a dramatic wedding design like yards and yards of luxurious fabric draping accented with precision lighting. Diamondhead Country Club provided the perfect venue to create this over-the-top, romantic wedding design. Country club weddings are on the rise as more couples are opting to hold their events in venues that can provide rentals and linens as well as catering and a variety of space options.

Once thought of an an old-fashioned wedding venue, country clubs like Diamondhead offer traditional indoor ballrooms as well as outdoor spaces with sweeping vistas perfect for outdoor ceremonies and formal portraits. While the formal ballrooms of a country club may not be as picturesque as the more trendy venues in industrial buildings or barns, these spaces can be easily transformed with drape and lighting to create a dramatic and opulent event.

Southern Event Productions specializes in drape and lighting, and this elegant swag of billowy white drape created a super impressive backdrop for our ceremony.
The elegant ballroom called for a classic black tux.
Pine Hills Floral Design paired romantic white flowers with greenery in a variety of textures to complement the design.
Wild Flour Bakery created a table full of cakes of various shapes and textures for a unique and modern take on the traditional wedding cake.
We love the buttercream piping on these cakes. This one has a sweet, vintage design on a modern silhouette.
The catering team at Diamondhead Country Club can customize your reception meals to each couple’s specifications from a full buffet, to passed appetizers, or a full-service, plated dinner.
This sweet gazebo was the perfect spot to anchor the cocktail hour.
Signature drinks are a great way to personalize your reception and to keep your bar budget under control.

The bar staff at Diamondhead graciously shared the recipes for these two signature cocktails with us. We’ll be serving up pitchers of these refreshing drinks all summer.
Our couple couldn’t resist taking a few swings on the venue’s croquet court.
