I DO Y'ALL

Colorful Palm Beach wedding embraces cultural rituals and traditions

We are still in awe of the incredible Palm Beach, Florida wedding of Saumya Goel and Khush Aujla which spanned four days and included seven colorful gowns and six separate events. This gorgeous couple included a number of rituals and traditions in the elaborate affair starting two days before the wedding with a vibrant Haldi ceremony which involved applying tumeric, also known as haldi on the faces, hands, and feet of the bride and groom by their friends and family as a blessing to the couple. Following this ceremony came the Mehndi event where a professional henna artist adorned the bride’s hands and feet with intricate designs. Bridesmaids and friends were also invited to take part in this ritual. On the eve of the wedding, this gorgeous couple were celebrated by their families with a Sangeet, a dance and music event where the couple along with family and friends performed choreographed dances on the roof of a private luxury super yacht while it was cruising off the Miami coast.

Following all the pre-wedding events, there were actually two wedding ceremonies, a Sikh and a Hindu, held at The Breakers in Palm Beach to embrace and celebrate the traditions of both families. The view for the waterfront event breathtaking with an acrylic arch backdrop topped with lush pink and white florals. The bride’s gown for the Sikh wedding ceremony was a stunning sea blue Manish Malhotra gown with silver embroidery, a trend we will be seeing a lot of in 2019. For the Hindu wedding ceremony, the bride changed into a vibrant red two piece Anamika Khanna gown with a matching veil.

Family and friends joined the couple the following day for a grand reception in the elegantly decorated ballroom of The Breakers where tones of gold, white and blush created a tranquil and elegant atmosphere. The bride had two changes during the event, a lovely floral ballgown and a blush pink Falguni Shane Peacock beaded gown. Guests were delighted by the towering six tiered wedding cake, and wowed by the choreographed dance performed by the groom and his groomsmen for the delight of his bride. This wedding was seriously over the top, and we loved everything about it!

The bride wore this vibrant yellow gown for the Haldi Ceremony.

The bride’s henna designs were absolutely stunning.

This floral wall made for a beautiful photo backdrop during the Mehndi event.

We are still swooning over this stunning two piece pink and rhinestone studded ensemble the bride wore to the Sangeet.

The acrylic backdrop framed the ceremony without obstructing the stunning waterfront view.

Rhinestone studded Chrisian Louboutin heels. Yes, please!

Every bride should look as regal as Saumya did in this sea blue designer sharara with silver embroidery by Manish Malhotra.

How amazing is this train and off the shoulder two piece gown by Anamika Khanna?

Khush can not take his eyes off of his beautiful bride in her Falguni Shane Peacock gown.

This cake, y’all! Six tiers of confection in gold and blush pink!
