Golden, Glitzy Art Deco Inspired City Wedding

Golden and pink hues, crystal embellishments, feathery fascinators and cocktails in the “casino” transported wedding guests at The Great John Street Hotel to another era. Shane Webber Photography captured all the Art Deco details.

Fiona and Simon were married on a cool October evening at The Great John Street Hotel in Manchester, UK. Fiona was stunning in a lace and crystal GEMY gown from Dream Dress Bridal. Hair and makeup by Penny at Jodie A. Smith completed her bridal look. David Wayman designed the ceremony flowers, including her beautiful bouquet.

Several wedding pros transformed different spaces into feature entertainment areas that entertained guests of all ages well into the night. Special touches throughout the celebration highlighted Fiona and Simon’s love for one another and their guests. There was even an “awards show” complete with trophies for hard-won accolades, like Best Mum!

Following the ceremony, The Venue Stylist flipped the room for the reception while guests mingled on the rooftop bar. K Croupier Fun Casino turned one room into a casino. Another room held the photo booth by Pineapple Photo Booths. After the reception, DJ Andy Murphy got the party started on the downstairs dance floor.

Fiona and Simon’s wedding is an excellent example of making the most of available space to entertain guests, manage the flow of the evening and transition from ceremony to reception to after-party in one venue. And they executed it with such style. We are inspired by their Art Deco theme and brilliant use of space!
