Get that Perfect Shot It’s a fact that sometimes photographers just can’t get to every angle or capture every moment of your event, like what the church or reception hall looks like from above. That’s where drones come in. They’re being used to provide aerial footage of your wedding and definitely come in extra handy when you’re getting married on an exotic, beautiful landscape because they will view the special location in different ways. This is a great way to see things from a different angle and also ensure that all your guests get into the same photo!

Let Your Guests Log On Livestreaming your wedding is a big trend and a great way to include guests who were not able to make the event. Whether you’re livestreaming to just one guest or hundreds, there are many options available. These include Skype that lets you livestream to one person or several (provided you pay a small subscription for the latter) to Google+ where you can stream live events, then schedule them for later viewing. If you want something even more high-tech, consider livestreaming via a robot, such as Partibot. It’s a great way to let guests who couldn’t make it see the wedding in real time from wherever they are and what’s really amazing is that they get to control the robot from their side so they can feel like they’re the ones walking across the dancefloor or getting a drink at the bar. You May Now Hashtag!

Using hashtags becomes even more fun when you’re hashtagging your wedding: go on and share pictures of your gorgeous wedding rings, dress or venue! All you do is create a wedding hashtag name that’s snappy and easy to remember, then also get your guests to use it when sharing tweets and photos about your special day on social media. Encourage guests to make use of this activity by having posters or chalkboards at your wedding reminding them to hashtag.

Create a Wedding Website This is an easy thing to do and helps to provide all your guests with information about your upcoming wedding without having to tell them personally. They could even RSVP directly on the site or receive directions to your venue. Think of your wedding website as your one-stop hub for all the info your guests will need, plus it cuts down your stress during wedding planning, too. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to get your own website.  Check out websites that offer free website designs and emails all your guests whenever you’ve updated something on your stylish site.

Get App Happy These days there’s an app for everything and when it comes to planning your wedding, you can bet there are loads of interesting apps to help you along. Some of the best worth checking out include:

  • Pinterest. As you know, Pinterest gives you the chance to create boards of your wedding preparation and share them with friends and followers. There are also amazing boards out there featuring loads of wedding inspiration, including jewelry boards so you can find the perfect diamond wedding ring. The Pinterest app comes with a built-in camera tool so that you can snap any inspiration you see wherever you are and upload it directly to the site.
  • RightGift.com makes wedding gift registry easy and fun. Simply add items from websites or stores to your gift list. See something in real life you’d love to add? Simply scan its barcode and find out where it’s available and at what cost.
  • AllSeated is your perfect seating arrangement tool. It lets you create a floor pan of your wedding reception so that you can work out your guest list. You can even view it in 3D!
  • EverSnap. If you feel like you don’t want to miss out on all the photos your guests have uploaded to social media and would love to have a stash of all of them for your collection, Eversnap comes to the rescue. The app accumulates all the videos and photos that have been placed in social media. It’s really easy to make it happen: all you do is create an album with its own code and then send this to guests so that all the pics they take will be automatically stored there for your perusing pleasure later.

Incorporate something new, something old and something tech at your wedding this year. With interesting digital ideas like those above, you’ll be able to plan and enjoy your wedding like never before.
