Have you seen Premier Bride’s Cover Bride and her wedding?

Meet Kristin Byrd and her husband Cody Phelps. Kristin is gracing the cover of the current issue of Premier Bride of Mississippi. The two beautiful people wed April 20th in Brandon, MS at McClain Lodge. The stunning photographs are by Hunter Leone of Three Nails Photography in Shreveport, LA. The bride had not one, but two, wedding dresses…one for the ceremony and another for the reception. Of course, Kristin was stunning in both gowns. We hope you love the photographs and are moved as much as we were.

We asked Kristin two questions and here is what she told us:

What made your wedding special? “The beautiful property at McClain Lodge, family, friends, marrying my best friend, and to see my year and a half vision come to life. Heirlooms collected from my great-grandmother, grandmother and great aunt were used throughout the entire wedding.”

What was your inspiration? “My love for vintage items meets natural elements. I took the phrase “something old and something new” and made it come to life from ceremony to reception hall.”

And that she did when you see the gorgeous pictures from her wedding. Bouquets were wrapped with hand sewn doilies by her great grandmother and pinned with broaches from the bride’s collection. After the wedding, of which, the bride did most of the decorating, herself, the couple honeymooned in St Lucia at the Sandals Resort for a well deserved rest.
