Twelve years ago, I discovered Premier Bride. As the wedding director for our church and in media sales, I felt this was a marriage made in heaven. I talked to friends; prayed with my Prayer Buddies; and decided to buy the central Mississippi market. Eventually I purchased the rest of Mississippi.
In 2001, the web was just getting started. No one knew it would have the prominence it has today. And Facebook…..who knew? Of course, we all remember 9/11. As tragic as that was, people still got married. I knew, even with all the uncertainty of those days, weeks and months, this was my calling. I gave my notice; took off the month of December and on January 2, 2002, hit the ground running. It’s been a great ride these past 12 years.
Over the years I have met some wonderful people and business owners who have become dear friends. I love this industry because I continue to meet great people and make lifelong friends. The wedding industry is constantly changing with new opportunities presenting themselves everyday. Therefore, it’s no surprise that when I was presented with the opportunity to grow my business in a positive and creative way I took it.
I am proud to announce that I along with 12 other Premier Bride publishers around the country have purchased the Premier Bride corporation. I will be serving as secretary of this newly formed company, PB Publishers Association, LLC. It’s going to be a lot of work, but it will be well worth the effort!
It is exciting to have this final piece of the puzzle for all of our wedding professionals in Mississippi. We have a fabulous publication, excellent website and many more new opportunities on the horizon that will take Premier Bride of Mississippi to the next level. This also means many great new opportunities for our brides and wedding professionals.
