I DO Y'ALL

Saying “I Do” in the SEC

Any southern bride knows if you’re getting married in the fall, you have to plan your wedding around SEC football, preferably on a bye week. Otherwise, you may end up with empty pews or at the very least, disgruntled groomsmen who are being forced to miss the game. School ties run very deep in the south, so deep in fact, that incorporating your school colors into the decor, adding football related items, or making sure there are big screens with the game on during the reception are pretty standard things in fall southern weddings.

This styled shoot captured by Jodye Sabatini Photography was created around our couple’s love of Ole Miss football. The outdoor reception style is casual and relaxed with a few special touches that spotlight the south’s favorite season. The adorable chalkboard menu with x’s and o’s, ticket-style stationery and tailgate-style food tables are football related, while the team colors, lapel pins, jersey and replica stadium are school specific and can be changed to reflect anyone’s alma mater.
