April Fool’s Day: Leave out the Bride!

Dear The Bridal Guru,

It’s April Fool’s Day.  I love a good April Fool’s joke.  I would love to prank my bride-to-be.  Do you think this is in bad taste?

Prankster Groom

Dear Prankster Groom,

I love a good prank.  And it depends on what the prank is that you are planning.  But, do you really want to prank your bride while she is in the midst of planning your wedding? She’s stressed out as it is.  So if you want to prank someone, leave out the bride.  Do a guy friend or a sister or brother or co-worker, but not your bride.

I have heard of some crazy pranks trying to kid the bride and they were not funny and the bride was hot happy:

Please be respectful of the bride and let her enjoy this time with peace and tranquility.  Instead of an April Fool’s joke on your bride, why not send her to a spa for relaxation.  That’s something she will enjoy.  And she will appreciate your thoughtfulness.  Now, that’s my kind of April Fool’s Day.
